Thanksgiving 2010

While I was preparing food for Thanksgiving dinner, I put AJ in his highchair with his pancake & eggs and left him to eat while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Occasionally I would peek around the corner to check on him. At one point, I noticed all of his breakfast was gone so when I went to get him out of his high chair, I saw that my wonderful son apparently decided he didn't want his eggs. What does one do when they don't want to eat something??? They throw it on the floor of course!! What a funny kid.

After a long day of eating and napping at my parent's house, it was finally time to go home. I wanted to get a picture of myself with AJ and as you can see, he was a little reluctant...

Take one (thinking hard)

Take 2 (camera shy)

Take 3 (looking a little grouchy, but it will do)

Big Boy Walking!!!

AJ took 3 steps about a month ago and hasn't cared to even attempt walking ever since. Today, however, was a different story. I went to Starr's house to pick him up after work and her and I were sitting on the floor talking. I was looking at Starr and all of a sudden AJ stood up behind her and started walking. I grabbed my phone and started recording. Here he is walking to Starr (she's luring him with a spoon).

After that he was walking non-stop. Here he is in Starr's kitchen. You can see Nevaeh walking around too. She would walk a little bit and wait for him and then walk a little more and wait for him again. It was so cute!!!

AJ walked around forever after this and would actually get mad if I tried to help him up. He wanted to do it all by himself. I ended up taking him to my parent's house for them to see. He threw a fit when I picked him up because he wanted to keep walking.

I'm so excited! It's about time!! Everyone tells me that I'm going to hate it now that he's walking because he'll be in all kinds of trouble now, but I honestly think I'll love it. Our house is pretty "baby proof" so now if he wants something, he can go get it himself instead of whining to me. :)

Messy Boy!!

AJ absolutely LOVES pizza. I cut his up for him and left him to eat while I prepared my food. When I returned, this is what I found....

How on Earth he managed to get it on his eyebrow is beyond me!! Needless to say, he went straight from the high chair to the tub.

Halloween 2010

Well, I thought for sure AJ would be walking in time for Halloween, but he's a stubborn boy and decided that since he's so good at crawling - why walk?? I got him this awesome monkey costume that he hated since it was super puffy and made it hard for him to crawl around in.

For Halloween, a few of us decided to take the kids to the mall since it would be indoors and therefore be warm. Here we are waiting in Starbucks to meet up with everyone.

Here's the pretty fairy Nevaeh and her daddy Carlos

Here's the grumpy monkey AJ and his mommy...

Nevaeh kept wanting to get to all the goodies in her bucket

The only thing that would keep AJ remotely quiet was chewing on the end of Nevaeh's fairy wand...

Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na BATMAN!! (aka: Damien)

AJ still chewing on the wand....

About halfway through the mall, Nevaeh decided that she would cop a squat on the ground in the middle of the mall to check out all her goodies...

Isn't she so pretty?

I let AJ out of captivity (his stroller) so he could check out the treats with Nevaeh.

Sweet girl sharing her treats...

AJ putting the treat back in the bucket....

This was the best picture we could get of all the kids together.

Halloween Pictures

Starr and I decided to take the kids to get their pictures taken in their Halloween costumes. The pictures turned out great!

Good Dental Hygiene is Important

I've always said that boys are stinky, which is usually true, so I'm trying to get AJ off to a good start by teaching him proper hygiene. He LOVES to brush his teeth so maybe **fingers crossed** he won't be as stinky as other boys. :) Below are a couple of pictures and a video...

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch out at Lattin's Cider Mill in Olympia. Though the actual pumpkin patch isn't all that nice to look at, they have tons of animals, a cute little carousel for the kids and the most amazing apple fritters you've ever tasted in your life. Those bad boys alone are worth trucking through the cold and mud for.

Here we are waiting in line for a delicious fritter

Carlos and his daughter Nevaeh

Damien and his cool sunglasses

Renee and her boys Jake (younger) and Nick (older)

After eating our fritters, the kids hopped
on the carousel for a little ride...
AJ just loves Damien and was talking to him
and laughing during the ride.

Here's Nevaeh petting a minature horse...

Nevaeh on a pony ride...

Next, we made our way to the pumpkin patch

Nevaeh joined AJ in his little patch o'pumpkins...

What a great day!!
