Who Needs an Alarm Clock??

Every morning when AJ wakes up, he plays so good all by himself just quiet as a mouse. Eventually, he gets bored and looks around for mom & dad. If we aren't awake, he'll just start making sounds like "ah...ah" and will progressively get louder until we wake up just like an alarm clock. How can I not smile every morning when this is what I wake up to??

Hanging with Uncle Duane

This week, Starr (a friend of mine who watches AJ during the day), was out of town so I was left with few options. My brother, Duane, said that he would watch AJ for me for the week. Duane is really good with AJ when we are around, so I felt confident that Duane could take care of him and do a good job. Plus, it's good practice...right??

The first day Duane came to pick up AJ, he swooped him up, grabbed the diaper bag, said "See ya later" and started to walk out the door. My mom said, "Umm, aren't you forgetting something?" and pointed toward the car seat. Duane said "Oh yeah. I would have figured it out when I got to the car". I, of course, heard this lovely story after the fact when I got home from work. During the day, however, I called Duane to see how AJ was doing. Duane was whispering all secret-squirrel-like and said "He's sleeping. I'll call you back later." He then sent me this picture and made me so jealous.

A couple days later, Uncle Duane took AJ on a walk since it was so nice out and this is the picture he sent me with the text "He likes walks":

AJ's First Easter

We got up this morning and put on our Sunday best for Jesus. Here we are as a family at church.

It's AJ's first Easter and even though he's too young to understand any of it, we got him a little Easter basket with a book and a toy. Wouldn't you know he had more fun with the grass and basket than what was actually in the basket.

AJ immediately dumps the basket over...


...then looks at us like we are interrupting a special moment. Excuse us!


Wonder what stuffed bunnies taste like? Just ask AJ!
